The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a scheme funded by the Department for Education. It offers activities and healthy meals to children from reception to year 11 (inclusive). The activities take place during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays.

The aim is to provide support to families during the school holiday period. Children can take part in free activities and receive a free nutritious meal.

If your child would normally receive benefits-related free school meals, you do not have to pay for these activity days.

Before you apply for an activity please check that your child is eligible for benefits-related free school meals

A small number of places are also available on the HAF scheme for children who are not in receipt of benefits-related free school meals but who the local authority believe could benefit from HAF provision.

For more information on the HAF scheme please visit the Isle of Wight Council HAF webpage.

To contact the HAF team email: holidayactivities@iow.gov.uk
